Project description

The project plans to expand the port by building an additional port basin next to the existing port and forming a new wave absorbing surface and breakwater.

The inner port route that connects the port shore along the outer side of the existing breakwater with the main breakwater object will be equipped with INOX bollards with a load capacity of 50 kN. spaced every 2.50 m.

The new main breakwater object will consist of a heaped structure with a protective rock mound on the outside and an arranged shore route on the inside for docking vessels. It will be equipped with INOX bollards spaced every 2.50 m. A signal light will be installed at the head of the main breakwater.

The breakwater object was designed as a heaped structure with a protective rock mound on the outside and an arranged internal shore route, along which no docking for vessels is provided, and therefore no pedestrian access is provided. A signal light sill be installed on the southern edge of the breakwater.

Project goal

The goal of the project is to expand the port by building an additional port basin next to the existing port and to form a new embankment and breakwater in order to reduce the impact of waves on part of the coastal zone and land facilities and to provide a new protected sea area with accommodation capacity for 32 vessels.

Investing in the expansion of the port in the town of Prvić Šepurine will improve the port infrastructure on the island of Prvić in terms of receiving coastal liner passenger ships and boats, but will also increase the safety and capacity of maritime transport and improve the economic potential of the island.
