Project description

Within the port of Dajla-Belveder, the building of a breakwater, a coastal wall and a slipway is planned, the redesign of the shoreside plateau and installation of two floating piers. Inside the port, deepening of the water area is planned in order to ensure sufficient depth for mooring, arriving and departing vessels.

The construction of a breakwater is envisaged in a straight line, with a total length of about 65.45 m and a width of about 6.0 m. The coastal edge of the breakwater is planned to be at a height of about +1.40 m, and in addition, in order to prevent waves from overflowing, a breakwater wall is planned to be constructed on the breakwater, with an absolute height of the crown at an elevation of about +2.60 m. The total developed length of the coastal wall is about 215 m. Two parallel floating piers will be installed perpendicular to the newly planned coastal wall of the port, with a total length of floating elements of about 45 m and a width of about 2.20 m. On the western edge of the shoreside plateau, building a slipway for vessels 7.0 m wide, 22.67 m long, with a slope of about 15% is planned.

Project goal

The project aims to ensure the safety of navigation and the sheltering of vessels in the port, the protection of the port assets and port users, and provide sufficient capacity of communal berths.

The project aims to satisfy all safety requirements for the docking of excursion and local fishing boats that use communal berths and boats of the resident population throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions, which will favorably affect the availability of employment, education and other services in the local community.
