Project description

The scope of the project is the construction of a new operational waterfront of the ferry pier and the adaptation of the shoreside area at the Kućište location in order to carry out the ferry traffic of passengers and vehicles.

The construction of a central quay with a length of 90.18 m is planned, with the possibility of mooring on both sides and ferry ramps that can accommodate vessels depending on the weather conditions at the location. The activities also include the construction of a secondary pier to the east. In addition to the works on the shoreline of the ferry pier, the construction of two buildings with a café, a public toilet, temporary storage, ticket kiosk and a lounge is planned.

Project goal

The goal of the project is to build the port of Perna open to public traffic at the location of Kućište, which will serve as a ferry pier, improve the traffic connection and accessibility of the Pelješac peninsula and the island of Korčula, increase the level of security of the port of Orebić and reduce traffic congestion, especially in the summer months.

Conditions will be created for the establishment of a safe and modern port, which will greatly influence the increase in attractiveness, safety and traffic accessibility for the local and wider population and visitors.
