Project description

The project includes the preparation of study documentation (Conceptual Design, Feasibility Study, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment and the foundation to amend the spatial planning documentation) as a precondition for construction works resulting in a increased number of urban, suburnban and regional passenger trains, users of public passenger transit and freight transport.

Project goal

The goals of the modernization and development of the Zagreb railway node are to improve local and regional rail passenger transport, better integrate the railway system into the public transport system of the City of Zagreb, improve the availability of railway and local public transport and increase the share of railway and public transport in the Zagreb urban area. Barriers between parts of the city on either side of the railway will be removed.
