Project description

The project refers to investment in the reconstruction of existing facilities with the construction of breakwater facilities and new coastal walls and pontoon jetties within the protected water area of ​​the Port of Novalja – South.

The extension will provide 101 moorings for vessels, of which 98 moorings for vessels 10-12m long and 3 moorings for vessels 50-70m long – liner passenger ships, and safe mooring of vessels throughout the year.

Project goal

Through the project, the port infrastructure and equipment of the port on the island will be improved, primarily for the reception of coastal liner passenger ships, ships, but also for special purposes in order to increase the safety and capacities of maritime transport.

The intervention is necessary in order to ensure the port of Novalja for the smooth running of the high-speed ferry line no. 9309 Novalja – Rab – Rijeka, as well as solving the problems of the lack of communal berths for the needs of local users.
