Project description
The project aims to improve the infrastructure of the Port of Martinšćica by building a protective breakwater and two jetties and a coastal strip that will be used for communal berths, which enables a safer and better connection for the island’s population, raises the capacity and communal standard and enables the economic development of the area.
The construction and reconstruction in the Port of Martinšćica envisages the redesign of a 330 m long shoreside section, the reconstruction of the manipulative plateau, the construction of a concrete jetty with the reorganization of the water area, the reconstruction and extension of the ‘Fratarski mul’ pier, and the reconstruction and significant extension of the southern breakwater to a length of 98 meters. On the southern side, the water area of the port is closed by an added breakwater with a length of 20.0 + 40.0 m and a width of 4.0 m.
Project goal
Projekt rekonstrukcije i dogradnje luke otvorene za javni promet u naselju Martinšćica na otoku Cresu ima za cilj povećanje sigurnost plovidbe i prihvata plovila u luci te kapaciteta komunalnih vezova. The project of reconstruction and extension of the harbor open to public transport in the settlement of Martinšćica on the island of Cres aims to increase the safety of navigation and the sheltering of vessels in the port as well as the capacity of communal berths.
The project raises the quality of life for the target groups, which are users of communal berths, passengers on the high-speed ferry line, owners of recreational, excursion and fishing boats, passengers on excursion boats, users of nautical berths and the entire population visiting the port area.
