Project description

The reconstruction of the interchange includes the replacement of the existing rails with the construction of an additional track and an exit platform, the construction of a new tram overhead and cable network, the construction of a new extended bus terminal with a taxi parking lot, installation of new public lighting and storm drainage, the reconstruction and protection of existing communal installations, the removal of the existing public toilet facility and the installation of three new container-type facilities for ZET employees, ZET ticket sales and public toilets.

A new bypass track was added, which added two new switches. There are three entry and two exit platforms. An access ramp was installed on either side of the platform. The traffic flows between the platforms are connected with 5 pedestrian crossings over the tram line.

Project goal

The reconstruction will enable more efficient traffic management and better tram traffic flow, improve connections with other forms of public transport and increase the safety and comfort of passengers in public transport.

Due to the intervention, safe and unhindered entry and exit from public city transport vehicles has been enabled.
