Project description
The project covers studies and works for installing the shore-side electricity supply within two container terminals in the maritime port, Port of Rijeka.
The project covers the following elements:
- Preparation of detailed designs and specifications, including obtaining all necessary permits for installation and safe operation of equipment needed for providing shore-side electricity supply at Adriatic Gate Container Terminal and Rijeka Gateway Container Terminal;
- Purchase and installation of equipment needed for providing shore-side electricity supply at Adriatic Gate Container Terminal and Rijeka Gateway Container Terminal;
- Commissioning of the shore-side electricity supply at Adriatic Gate Container Terminal and Rijeka Gateway Container Terminal.
Project goal
The project’s overall objective is to upgrade the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal and Rijeka Gateway Container Terminal in the Port of Rijeka to enable the use of shore-side electricity supply for berthed container ships. Both terminals ensure freight transhipment between three modes of transport – maritime, rail and road.
The project will bring online two shore-side electricity supply points with a capacity of 5 MVA each or alternatively one supply point with a capacity of 7,5 MVA for container ships berthed at the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal, as well as one shore-side electricity supply point with a capacity of 7,5 MVA for container ships berthed at the Rijeka Gateway Container Terminal.
