Project summary

The project resulted in the preparation of comprehensive project documentation analyzing the economic feasibility and identifying the most favorable technical solutions for improving road infrastructure along the route from the Sveta Helena junction through Vrbovec 2, Bjelovar, and Virovitica to the state border with the Republic of Hungary. Through detailed profitability assessments and technical evaluations, the documentation enabled the selection of the optimal development variant. This laid the foundation for future infrastructure investments aimed at improving regional connectivity, enhancing cross-border mobility, and supporting economic development in the affected areas.

The traffic route/road junction Sveta Helena – Vrbovec 2 – Bjelovar – Virovitica – GP Terezino Polje (Republic of Hungary border) is an integral part of the route which connects Podravina to Zagreb, and represents an important strategic interest for the overall development of the central Croatia.
