Project summary

The project implemented navigation technology allowing aircraft to determine their position using satellite navigation and the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out function on Croatia Airlines’ fleet, including six DASH 8 aircraft and six AIRBUS aircraft. The upgrade has improved flight efficiency and safety, reduced pollution, and contributed to the optimization and development of SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research).

As a part of the European Air Traffic Management (ATM) Master Plan, the new upgrade meets the requirements for the performance and interoperability of surveillance by supporting all surveillance techniques currently used and planned to be used within the Single European Sky.
