Project description

The project includes investments in:

  • a floating (pontoon) breakwater Pier 1 with a 73.95 x 4.00 m footprint, designed as a segmented structure with seven ten-meter spans between modules,
  • floating piers 1a and 1b, situated between the northern shore and Pier 1, composed of floating elements on pontoons,
  • the reconstruction of the northern shore (approximately 168,40 m long and 7,90 m wide) and the Markantun Dominis Promenade (approximately 144,82 m long and 7,80 m wide),
  • the reconstruction of the 450 m port access road in the port area between the DM store and Slavija Public Parking, with required roadside infrastructure,
  • the reconstruction and resurfacing of the 650 m long, 8 m wide road between Slavija Public Parking and Cape St. Anthony, adjacent to the previously reconstructed access road.

Project goal

The project of the reconstruction of the port of Rab and the access road aims to ensure the safety of navigation and the acceptance of vessels in the port, the protection of the property of the port and its users, the provision of functional access to the port and sufficient capacity of communal moorings. The planned reconstruction of the port of Rab will provide 100 new communal moorings for the use of the local population and the economy in a unique spatial, functional and design entity.
