Project description

The goal of the project is the construction of a maritime-passenger terminal as an extension of the Vrulje pier in the port of Šibenik. The planned maritime-passenger terminal building has a trapezoidal floor plan with side length of 65.68 m and 36.64 m x 52.95 m, and consists of two closed volumes connected by a simple single-deck roof.

The maritime-passenger terminal will provide passengers with a space protected from harsh weather, in which they can store luggage, buy tickets, refreshments, use sanitary facilities, obtain travel information, etc. The project seeks to meet the conditions for improving the year-round passenger transport service regardless of pressure generated by tourism, which will positively affect the availability of employment, education, medical care and other public services to island communities and improve the integration of the Croatian islands into the wider transport network.
