Project description

The project concerns the construction of the section: Mravince junction – TTTS junction. The total length of the section is 2.4 km, and it is designed as a four-lane road with two separate carriageways. The project includes the construction of the road, the construction of roadway structures, the installation of lighting, the construction of supporting infrastructure, signalization and landscaping.

The route also includes the construction of the following structures:
• Mravince 3 underpass at km 0+383.19 in the Mravince roundabout, total undepass length is 32.4 m.
• Dračevac 1 underpass at km 0+234,37 of axis 14, total underpass length is 28.65 m.
• Dračevac 2 underpass at km 320+13 of axis 14, total underpass length is 33.4 m.
• Mravince 1 underpass at km 0+193.58 in the Mravince roundabout, total underpass length is 33.4 m.
• Mravince 4 underpass at km 0+174.70 in the Mravince roundabout, total underpass length is 32.4 m.
• Passage at km 1+344.00 on D8 state road, total length of the culvert including wing walls is 51.7 m.
• Aqueduct for crossing the pipeline over the road route, structural length is 41,7 m.
• Gladnjaci tunnel at 0+395.00 (left and right tunnel tube length 378m and 330 m)
• Overpass at Karepovac junction at km 0+309.588 of axis 20, total length 55.5 m / 60.5 m.
• Vidovača 1 overpass at km 1+585.92, total overpass length with wing walls is 50 m.
• Vidovača 2 overpass at km 1+741.34, total overpass length with wing walls is 53.50 m.
• Overpass at TTTS junction, total overpass length is 232,0 m.

Project goal

This section will provide an eastern bypass of the Split and Solin agglomerations and will play an important role in the distribution of traffic flows before entering the central areas of the cities of Split and Solin.

The project will improve the connection to the TEN-T network, improve accessibility and connections to the regional center – Split, reduce traffic congestion, and redirect transit traffic from the center of the settlement, increase traffic safety, and increase the competitiveness of the local economy through better accessibility to other markets using the new traffic route, i.e. improve the accessibility of smaller regional centers and rural areas outside the TEN-T network. Elements of traffic safety will also be ensured.
