Project summary

The project envisages the extension of the breakwater head and its widening by 30 m on either side, in the shape of the letter T for the parallel mooring of two ships or ferries.

The planned operation will provide berth for ferries up to 48 m long on the north side of the dock, and ships up to 70 m long (or two catamaran or smaller vessels up to 41,5 m long) on the western side of the dock. Additionally, planned activities include the placement of a ticket office and reconstruction of the baggage handling plateau. The increase in total coastline length and port surface area will ensure adequate coastal liner mooring capacity for the ferry line Mali Lošinj – Unije – Srakane Vele – Susak and high-speed ferry lines Pula – Unije – Susak – Mali Lošinj – Ilovik – Silba – Zadar and Mali Lošinj – Ilovik – Susak – Unije – Martinščica – Cres – Rijeka, and improve port safety.
