Project summary

The project envisages the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure connecting the Podbok Bulk Cargo Terminal in the Bakar port basin to the existing Bakar freight railway station, which is connected via marshalling yard Škrljevo to the national rail network.

A bulk cargo terminal and a Ro-Ro (Roll on – roll off) terminal for handling general cargo are situated in the Bakar port basin. The project activities include the removal of the existing infrastructure and equipment, reconstruction of 2,780 m of railway tracks and pertaining installations, reconstruction of a pavement surface area of 20,786 m2, reconstruction of the drainage, waste water and water supply systems, and reconstruction of electrical installations.
