Project summary

The project involved the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure connecting the Podbok Bulk Cargo Terminal in the Bakar port basin to the existing Bakar freight railway station, which is linked via the Škrljevo marshalling yard to the national rail network.

A bulk cargo terminal and a Ro-Ro (Roll on – roll off) terminal for handling general cargo are situated in the Bakar port basin.

Project activities included removal of the existing infrastructure and equipment, reconstruction of 2,780 m of railway tracks with associated installations, reconstruction of a pavement surface area of 20,786 m², and reconstruction of drainage, wastewater, and water supply systems. Electrical installations were also reconstructed.
