Project summary

The project envisages supporting an avionics equipment installation on-board Croatia Airlines Dash-8 Q400 fleet to permit use of signals from the European satellite network GALILEO and the EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) navigation system which enables precision landing by using Localizer Performance with Vertical guidance (LPV) approaches.

The equipment demonstrated an exceptional degree of navigational accuracy and uninterrupted signal reception during airborne operational testing and its use will contribute to increased flight safety. Moreover, the project implementation will reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and improve the time in air/distance ratio.
