Project summary

The project envisages the implementation of 4 COOPANS (Cooperation between ANS (Air navigation service) providers – COOPANS) software upgrades.

The project has resulted in the increased capacity, safety and positive environmental effects in the 7 COOPANS ACCs (Area Control Centre). With its implementation, air traffic control quality and safety are increased. The project included work optimization by using CPDLC – Controller Pilot Datalink Communications, a solution for basic AMAN (Arrival Manager) training, improved processing and interoperability for OLDI – On-Line Data Interchange. The listed activities are part of a global project which aims to bring harmonization and standardization within the COOPANS association by further developing the COOPANS air traffic control system platform. The project is being implemented in 5 countries (Austria, Denmark, Croatia, Ireland and Sweden).
