The project developed a regional transport masterplan of the North Adriatic functional region.
The project produced a regional transport masterplan for the North Adriatic functional region. A detailed analysis of the condition of the transport system was conducted in the masterplan from the point of view of the organizational aspects, operative functioning, fleet and transport infrastructure. The masterplan also included the identification of critical problems which should be solved, the preparation of a multi modal transport model for planning and selection of the optimal transport development solutions, the design of the future transport system and the preparation of the Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment. The implementation of the measures defined by the plan is projected to increase the efficiency and sustainability of the transport system by taking into consideration the needs of the region’s inhabitants.
