Project summary

The project included construction works on the extension, upgrade, and reconstruction of shorelines 1, 2, and 3. These works have been completed as planned.

The implementation of project activities has provided shoreline 1 with a berth for ferries up to 120 m in length, extended shoreline 2 by 56.00 m, and widened the shoreline 3 bay entrance to facilitate and increase maneuvering safety for larger ferries.

The intervention allows vessels to dock in adverse weather conditions by constructing an embankment that shields the shoreline from wind and waves, reduces the need to maneuver at berth, and shortens the duration of entering and departure maneuvers. It also provides conditions for overnight accommodation at the ferry dock on shoreline 3.

In conclusion, the project has ensured adequate mooring and a reliable connection for the ferry service 355 Prizna-Žigljen.
