Project summary
The project envisages construction works on the extension, or the upgrade and reconstruction of shorelines 1, 2 and 3.
The implementation of project activities will provide shoreline 1 with a berth for ferries up to 120 m in length, extend shoreline 2 by 56,00 m and widen the shoreline 3 bay entrance, in order to facilitate and increase maneuvering safety for larger ferries. The intervention allows vessels to dock in adverse weather conditions by constructing an embankment shielding the shoreline from wind and waves, reduces the need to maneuver at berth and shortens the duration of entering and departure maneuvers. It also provides the conditions for overnight accommodation at the ferry dock on shoreline 3. In conclusion, the project provides adequate mooring and a reliable connection for the ferry service 355 Prizna-Žigljen.
