Project summary
The project envisages the implementation of activities in order to, through the use of the eGAFOR (Electronic General Aviation Forecast), provide Low Level Flight (LLF) users with a consolidated and harmonized meteorological (MET) service for flights planned over several countries.
Low Level Flight is, due to flying at low altitudes in a generally small and less equipped planes, particularly vulnerable to all hazardous meteorological phenomena. Thus, Low Level Flight is currently considered to be the most dangerous way of flying. The project is based on the cooperation between the MET Service Providers (METSP) in the Central and the Southeast Europe and it covers the countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia.
