Project summary
The project successfully implemented activities to provide Low Level Flight (LLF) users with a consolidated and harmonized meteorological (MET) service across multiple countries through the deployment of the eGAFOR (Electronic General Aviation Forecast) system.
Low Level Flight is, due to flying at low altitudes in a generally small and less equipped planes, particularly vulnerable to all hazardous meteorological phenomena. Thus, Low Level Flight is currently considered to be the most dangerous way of flying. The project was based on the cooperation between the MET Service Providers (METSP) in the Central and the Southeast Europe and it covered Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia.
