Project summary
The project contributed to the implementation of the Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) by supporting the coordinated and synchronized execution of a cluster of 24 projects in the Cohesion Member States. These activities facilitated the alignment of national air traffic management (ATM) modernization efforts with the broader European ATM Master Plan, ensuring interoperability, enhancing performance, and promoting harmonized deployment of SESAR solutions across participating states.
The implementation of the cluster of 24 projects, in alignment with the Pilot Common Project as defined by Regulation (EU) 716/2014, has directly supported the deployment of SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) in the Cohesion Member States. These coordinated efforts have contributed to improving the efficiency and capacity of the European air traffic management (ATM) system in a safe and cost-effective manner. Additionally, the deployment has reduced the environmental footprint of aviation operations, thus advancing the objectives of the Single European Sky, including enhanced safety, sustainability, and seamless cross-border airspace integration.
